The FIFA World Cup is a premier football tournament from all over the world which takes place every four years. This year, the 2010 FIFA World Cup will be the 19th premiership and is placed in South Africa between 11 June and 11 July 2010. 31 nations from around the world will join the tournament and compete for the winning prize, so far only seven countries have one the world cup - a tuff challenge is ahead. The first tournament is against South Africa and Mexico on the 11th of June in Soccer City.
Barack Obama is making an appearance at the opening of the World Cup and his father Kenya is said that he will participate on the 11th of June event.
The offical mascot for South Africa is a lepoard with green dreadlocks named Zakumi after 'ZA' the abbrevaition for 'South Africa.'
